Advantages
This bottle excels in providing a tailored feeding experience for young lambs and kids. Its clear measurement markings allow for precise feeding, crucial for newborns. The screw-on red teat is well-designed, ensuring a good latch and minimizing leakage, which customers appreciate. For its intended age group, the 16oz size is often adequate for individual feedings.
Our Recommendations
The IDEAL 7004 is highly recommended for short-term or supplemental feeding of very young lambs and kids (0-1 month). It's particularly suited for users who prioritize accurate measurements and an effective, leak-resistant teat. If using for multiple animals or extended periods, be mindful of the ink on markings and consider re-marking if it fades. For rapidly growing animals, you might need to transition to a larger bottle sooner.
Conclusion
The IDEAL 7004 Lamb & Kid Bottle is a functional and generally reliable option for nourishing newborn livestock. Its strengths lie in its teat design, clear markings, and leak prevention. While concerns about the durability of the bottle material and ink exist, it serves its primary purpose well for the critical first month of life. It's a practical choice, especially when ease of use and accurate feeding for newborns are paramount.

Hard to find locally
I didn’t like the selection of bottles for baby goats or lambs at the local shops. They seemed to be more for a calf. These work fine and do not leak. I took 1 star off because the writing starts running and wearing off immediately. Including the measurement markings. I like to keep track of how much they are eating as too much can cause the scours.

Great bottle!!!
Used these on baby goats and they were so nice. Not much leakage. Most of what leaked was because of the goats not the bottle. Quality material. Great size. Was able to feed 13 baby goats with these bottles. Would buy again!

Very Poor Quality
I needed an extra bottle for my bottle baby lambs so ordered this one from Amazon because it would get to my farm the fastest. First thing I noticed is that this bottle is thicker than the other brand I usually use. Then I saw that the nipple had a seam in it down each side and was thicker and tougher. After a couple times of trying to use it, I discarded the nipple. It was just too tough for the lambs. After 1 week of using and washing the bottle by hand, all the painted markings are wearing off the bottle. Really makes me wonder about how safe that ink is on it. So I am pretty disappointed in the quality and would never buy one again.

Sticky ink
Sufficient to bottle feed, but I noticed after using it a 3-4 times (which easily the first day of needing to use it) that it was really sticky. I thought it was the milk that got on the outside of the bottle, but it actually was the ink coming off. All the markings were coming off and leaving sticky ink behind on my hands. It’s a bit of a turn off, but still is useful for feeding technically. The nipple did fine in the short time we needed to help a lamb out.
