    Interesting
Our daughter is a psychiatrist and knows things about child development that I’ll never know (except somehow my wife and I managed to “develop” her as a child). She thinks this is a great idea. I have to balance this against the feedback from my son in-law when he first saw one of the optional scene displays that came with this: “That’s some seriously creepy [stuff]!!!” (paraphrasing). So this multi media feeding bottle seems like a pretty good idea to me (very much a layman) and to our daughter the trained professional, but I also totally agree with our SIL that there is one set of images that seems like a freak-out image only fitting if you’re pumping your infant full of hallucinogens (not recommended). The idea is to give the little spud something engaging to capture his or her attention while sucking down a bottle of milk. This is done through a series of cards of images reminiscent of View Master slides. I personally don’t know that infants need this type of stimulation, especially nowadays when parents just toss their kids an iPad to keep them occupied. I’m old fashioned in this regard and think it’s probably best to just either chill out and lightly doze off, or better yet make eye contact with your little miracle and form that crucial lifelong bond before they get old enough to realize that your generation is “lame” and not worth engaging with.Regardless, the makers of this feeding/viewing system did a good job (except for the “freaky [stuff]” slide. Plus it’s fairly low priced and a low-risk bet if you want to try it out. I hope this won’t be substituted for parental bonding though.

    Feedings are so much easier!
First of all, the bottle itself and the packaging are beautiful. With so much baby stuff taking up space around the house, it’s nice when you have an item that’s both functional and nice to look at.I love the black and white story wheel on the base of the bottle. Baby seems much more engaged during bottle time and I feel like I’m stimulating his little mind with the pictures and the story I can tell using them. The bottle also seems to be easier for him to hold than other bottles we’ve tried, so even without the base and the story wheel, I prefer this over Dr Brown’s and Avent.

We’re enjoying the bottle and the base
We like the options for different flow rates. The bottle design seems a little better for the kids’ hands; the squaring seems to make a difference and maybe the material isn’t as slippery. the nipple is different and seems to enable a full mouth suction action. we have hold me base, and the kiddo thinks its fun to hold their own bottle. It doesn’t shatter; I accidentally dropped it the other day walking into the house and nothing happened.

    Great quality and fun
These bottles are perfect for my baby. The 4 oz one he used up to 4-5 months. The 8oz I started using after that. It’s pretty good flow nipples. My baby had no problem eating from these bottles. The tell Me part with the story. It actually grabbed my baby’s attention and helped not to get distracted during feeding. I recommend this set of bottles.

    It’s hard to hold.
This is an 8oz bottle with a viewfinder attached to the end to give the baby something to look at while feeding. The bottle itself is fine, the viewfinder thing on the end makes it really awkward to hold if you’re still supporting the bottle for a baby. This should be marketed to older babies, the ones who are holding their own bottles and maybe can turn the dial on the viewfinder thing themselves. It is uncomfortable to hold while feeding a newborn and the pictures are too small to be any real good considering their limited focal distance.

well made & very sturdy; bottles are difficult to snap in and out of base
This bottle system is made well, and is very sturdy. I like the look of everything. Plus, it’s easy to clean. The small bottle has a slow flow nipple. The large bottle has a fast flow nipple. My grandbaby is too old for the small bottle, unless I switch out nipples and use it for juice. She’s used the large bottle a few times now. She has very little issues, with using the large bottle and base. For the most part, she does well with it. Though, I do also have much cheaper bottles, with handles on the sides, that she has no issues with using. They work similarly to this. Some of my other bottles have little raised dots or lines on the handles, for sensory development. This base also has little raised dots and lines, that are a bit better than the cheaper bottles, for sensory development. So, I guess it’s up to individual preference. With this system, I do find it difficult to snap the bottles in and out of the base. I have arthritis in my hands and back. Just snapping the bottle in and out of the base, makes my hands and shoulders hurt. Though, it does seem to hurt a bit more, when snapping the bottle out of the base. I really dislike this about it. I also noticed the area where the base connects to the bottles, actually made permanent cloudy scuff marks on the bottom of the bottle. Each time I’ve used it, I saw another tiny scuff is added. I guess the scuff marks aren’t a deal breaker… but, still. As difficult as it is to get the bottles in and out of the base, I can see why there are scuff marks. When I ordered this Hold Me System set, the listing price was $50. At time of this review, it’s now $45. In my opinion, $45 is still a bit steep. Due to the pain it causes me, I wouldn’t consider ordering it again for myself. Though, if it were a bit cheaper, I would consider ordering it as a gift for someone else. It is packaged really well, and would make a nice gift. I attached a video. 😊
