    Functional, basic bottles
These bottles have a lot of capacity and they’re narrow enough to fit in my bedside bottle heater. They say they tolerate steam sterilization, too, but I’m a bit skeptical because the plastic feels a bit flimsy compared to the other bottles that I’ve used. That said, the nipple design with the side vents to allow air bubbles to break the vacuum, without bubbling directly into the stream of milk flow at the exit-holes of the nipple, does seem helpful. At least, it helps rule out air bubbles as the cause of colic (and maybe if it continues, it’s time to consult with the doctors to see why else the baby might have colic).Overall, I like the size and the secure threading on the screw-top lids. I don’t love the shape (what is ergonomic about a straight cylinder? There’s no contour to the bottle shape at all). I like the caps that protect the nipple, but the nipple design isn’t the best and seems pretty generic except for the rear vents. Still, at $10 for a set of 3 large bottles, I think it’s a reasonable price and decent set of bottles. There are better models out there, but sometimes it’s nice to just have a set of cheap and functional bottles to swap out while some are in the dishwasher, or to send with the baby to a relative’s house for a few hours, knowing that if something happens to damage the bottle, you’re not going to be upset over it. So I’d still recommend them, as long as the moms go in with that understanding. They’re not high end, but not junk either, and they do the job.

    Flow is too fast
These anti-colic bottles feel kind of cheap. My grandson has moved up to eating 6 ounces of formula per feeding. So we tried out these larger sized 8 ounce anti-colic bottles. The formula flows out too quickly. So I’m not sure these will work. I’m not sure if the anti-colic feature of the nipples work either. These might be an okay backup bottle. However, I’m not very happy with them.

    Should Help Fight Colic
What I like about the 3 Pack Avima 8 oz Anti Colic Baby Bottle Set: I like that the set is complete with the nipple, nipple cap, nipple ring and bottles. The caps snap on with ease and a tight secure fit. The rings screw on well and prevent any leaking. The bottle can hold more than the 8 ounce max line. The nipples can be a good transition from breastfeeding to bottle as their size is smaller which closely mimics a natural nipple. The dual flow openings on the side of the nipple help to release air bubbles which will help lessen the chance of the air flowing into the baby’s stomach which produces colic symptoms. The bottle can be washed in a dishwasher but I prefer to use a bottle scrubber and wash by hand. The product does not contain the chemicals we try to avoid such as PVC, BPA, Phthalates or polycarbonates. The standard bottle neck opening fits with most best pumps. What I dislike about the 3 Pack Avima 8 oz Anti Colic Baby Bottle Set: I wish the nipples had numbers correlating with the nipple flow so I could identify the transitional nipple needs based on baby’s growth.

    Easy to clean
Not sure if it helps prevent colic, but the openings on the sides of the nipples help let air bubbles escape before your baby drinks them. So if nothing else, it helps them have less gas in their tummies after eating. The bottles are easy to clean, and the baby drank easily and without any fuss.
